where art and nature meet

What about us? Well... Predominately our nursery offers
many plant varieties that are very adaptable and durable to
our southern California gardens and other areas. We carry
plants of Australia, Africa, New Zealand, Madagascar,
tropical America and North America and Asia (Camellias).
From Australia, we provide a large selection of grevillea,
isopogon, banksia, hakea, acacia, dianella, Anigozanthos
"kangaroo paw" (at least 25 varieties and hybrids incl. the
black) and some eucalyptus varieties. From Africa, (our
most favorite group) there are protea, leucospermum
(pincushion protea), leucodendron, euphorbia (both soft
and prickly ones), bird of paradise species and hybrids,
kniphofia (pokers) and bulbs, spathodea (african tulip tree)
and from New Zealand, pittosporum, phormium (flax),
metrosideros, cordyline, heather (and south africa), hebe.
From Madagascar we stock the infamous Madagascar palm
(pachypodioum lamerii and related species and cultivars).
From tropical America we have plumeria, grass tree, orchid,
bromeliad (the air plants) aristolochia (pipe vines) ginger
and from North America, ceanothus (california lilac),
arbutus, and our most favorite, the butterfly weed (monarch
haven big time) and rhizomes and much more.

Not to mention all sorts of palm and cacti and our newest mind
explosion the succulents (aloe, echeveria, sempervivum,
aeonium, sedum, dudleya) and so on. We have a variety of
water plants available such as giant horsetail and regular one
also, lilies, iris, dwarf papyrus cultivars and species plus more.
We also stock magnolia, flowering plum and other blooming
shade trees, wisteria (vine and tree form), and tropical and
hardy fruiting trees (such as cherimoya, mango and bananas
and peaches, apples...) and fruiting vines both tropical and
hardy (passion fruits and berries). We are passionate for
passion vines and stock a mother load of these especially
purple tiger, vitifolia, ruby glow and others. We stock a large
selection of exotic bamboos also. All the above plants attract
many species of hummingbirds by the hundreds, butterflies
and birds. In another location we are designing, planting and
testing plants and will be offered as demonstration to the
public at a later date as the flora is establishing and is not
quite ready to display.

We have recently started carrying
beautiful fountains, birdbaths and
statuary made of stone concrete
and most excitingly hand carved
real stone features such as pagodas
for better energy, garden art,
bamboo poles and tastefully
produced iron works such as
baskets, gazebos, arbors, trellis,
gates, spheres and pole balls from
the USA. We feature many artfully
crafted bird attracters for your
garden such as birdhouses and
feeders made of tin, ceramics and
glass to be enjoyed by you and the
birds. We are wild about globes of
all kinds such as netted glass balls,
clay balls to twig balls and carry a
line of gazing balls that is most
unique.
